Effects Of Global Warming In The Arctic

The Arctic and the Antarctic regions play very important roles. How? First, like the human eyes, they are the mirrors to the soul; they are the first to manifest adverse effects like global warming. We witness these changes rather most drastically in these polar regions. Another correspondingly direct effect of global warming is: any change in the polar conditions affects those of all the other regions. Once the polar ice melts, this flushes more freshwater from the region's rivers, consequently holding the ocean from circulating fast enough, thereby causing higher sea levels. With more ice melting, more land and bodies of liquid water are exposed to the heat of the sun. These two, which naturally absorb more heat than snow and ice, causes more warming oceans and land masses. Worst of all is borne by the Arctic's perennially frozen soil - melting of the polar ice releases the greenhouse gases (carbon and methane) trapped within. This is very dangerous as the Arctic permafrost contains a third of the planet's total soil carbon content. Man-made emissions would fade in comparison is all this carbon were released. The National Center for Atmospheric Research has also predicted that the Arctic could be ice-free starting 2040 and sea ice reduced by 80% in the next couple of decades.

Warming of the Arctic has already been felt and is now a cause for apprehension. According to the Polar Bear Specialist Group (the absolute scientific authority on everything involving polar bears) several (5) of their populations in the world are now stamped as declining.

Just recently, the US. Fish and Wildlife Service (USF & WS) announced that the polar bears who once roamed the territory freely may soon be classified under the list of endangered species. The agency has, in fact, done the initial steps already formally proposing to do such that, include the polar bears in the critical registry. This alarming announcement has, in effect, granted the request (later escalating to a demand by way of a lawsuit against the USF & WS) of 3 organizations (the Center for Biological Diversity, the National Resources Defense Council or NRDC, and Greenpeace. For years, these three have been urging the US government precisely to act on the problem. It could be victory for the group, but not much since it has taken the concerned authorities this long ; it will now take painstaking effort to save the polar bears from extinction. An NRDC executive strongly referred to global warming as the one major threat to the survival of the polar bears. He urged further to stop delaying the action and to go full-force; no more half-measures.

Enlisting the species as endangered is not even the culmination of the unified effort; it is only the initial part of a long process. It should take the US Fish and Wildlife Service around one year to study the proposal before they decide on an action to take. Meantime, there is imminent danger that the polar bear would totally lose its sea-ice habitat as this one year rolls by. Loss of sea ice also means loss of their main source of food which are ice seals. This could also result to more mortality as the bears would tend to cannibalize their ranks in the absence of prey. Why? Mainly because enlisting a species as endangered does not necessarily mean ready plans would immediately be implemented. Steps would involve a stoppage on all activities that threaten the bears survival, before developing and implementing of a recovery plan are put to order by the Fish and Wildlife Service. Faced with the rate greenhouse gases are being emitted from the Arctic, this will indeed be a daunting task.

Talking about populations, it is not just that of the polar bears which lie victim to global warming. The Inuits, (a member of the Eskimo peoples living in northernmost North America down to eastern Canada and Greenland) depend on the sea ice for food. The dismal and continued shortening of their hunting season by 50% has had drastic effects on their lives. Will it not be long till a people and an era vanished from the face of the earth? Can we do something about it?

Global Warming - 5 Facts

Global warming is happening and some people still think it’s not happening which is just fine, but even they have to admit the climate is changing. The planet constantly altering, we have to decide what we will do to adapt. Animals and plants are already changing the way they act by blooming and migrating sooner. With technology constantly changing, new variables are added to this equation of global warming that pessimistic scientists must take into consideration before they doom the planet. Now, for all those skeptics who think global warming doesn’t exist, here are 5 facts about global warming.

1. The Planets Temperature Has Increased And Average of 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.6 of a degree Celsius) in the last 100 years. With the increase in green house gasses, the suns rays stay trapped and increase the world’s temperature. It is predicted that the temperature will increase in coming years because more and more of the suns heat remains trapped here on earth.

2 The cause of the increase of climate change is Human activity producing pollution and green house gasses according to many scientists. Heavy industry vigorously emits carbon dioxide, Nitrous Oxide, Ozone, and other gasses. With an increase in competition to create the most products of the best quality comes an increase in the production of green house gasses, but with new laws and filters, the amount of these gasses being emitted into the air has decreased.

3. If the temperature of the planet increases to a certain point, methane from the ocean can be released into the air and drastically increase the temperature of the earth to dangerous levels. This is not to scare anyone and may not even have to do with global warming or human green house gas production, however scientists believe methane released from the ocean ended the Permian era, killed off countless land and sea creatures, and raised the temperature of the planet considerably.

4. People say that deforestation is a contributor to global warming right? According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), deforestation occurs at a rate of 53,000 square miles per year. This can negatively affect the atmosphere since trees are 50% carbon as well as cause environmental problems for the land which is used to having large forests on it.

5. There are more than 50 things you can do to stop or slow global warming including, lowering your thermostat, choosing energy efficient appliances and, taking showers instead of baths. Every little thing you can do to prevent energy from being wasted can help decrease the effect of human interaction with the earth’s climate. Global warming or not, preventing the waste of energy doesn’t hurt anyone.

Weather you believe humans are causing global warming or it is a natural occurrence that will pass, you still have to be aware of its effect on the world. Do some homework and learn about both sides of the debate. Now is the time when this topic is at its peak so it will help you to know a few facts.

Stopping Global Warming

Global Warming is a word that you will come across on any news channel or newspaper or magazine these days. Global warming simply means the presence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere beyond the permissible limits. The overabundance of carbon dioxide that is present in the atmosphere will capture the heat from the rays of the sun and form a blanket that is warming our planet Earth.

The main source that is contributing this abundant carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the humans living on this planet. The carbon emissions from cars, polluting factories and industries and the non renewable power plants are all responsible for giving out greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide etc into the atmosphere. All of the above things that we rely on are a source for making this Earth a less environment friendly for the humans.

One must know that every action, every decision or every purchase he or she makes is going to either help or hurt the future of life on this planet. In fact, all the people in the world have by now know the ill effects of global warming on our planet. So, all of us will be only more than willing to help stop global warming and to make this Earth a better place to live in. A small bit of help from each and everyone living in this planet will make this world a healthier planet for our children, grand children and great grandchildren to live in.

The major source for this rising global warming situation is the human beings living in this planet and it is up to us humans to concentrate on the features that will help to reduce the effect of global warming or will alleviate the occurrence of global warming on our planet. The combating of this dilemma called global warming can be carried out by concentrating on these few points:

  • The major step in preventing the occurrence of global warming is to conserve energy. There are so many ways in which you can conserve energy and the following will give you an idea on the regular day to day activities that you can follow to save energy and thereby reduce the effects of global warming: turning off appliances that are not in use; pooling of cars to go for office or function; using energy efficient lamps; not using appliances that release chlorofluorocarbons(CFC); planting more trees etc.
  • Cut on the work hours in your profession that will help save energy and if this is practiced by all the working professionals all over the world, then millions of energy can be saved, which will lead to stopping global warming.
  • Using of recycled products and recommended plastic carry bags than those with fewer microns which will help in the increase of pollution that will lead to increase in the global warming.
  • Using of environment friendly fuels and vehicles which may be a bit expensive, but will not contribute to polluting the environment.
  • Using of solar energy, wind power or water energy to generate electricity for your homes and offices.

With the collective efforts of each and everyone living in the planet, and with everyone caring a little bit for our Mother Earth, it will be easy to reduce the effect of global warming on this planet and make this world a happy place to live in.

Negative Effects of Global Warming

There are many predicted effects for the environment and for human life due to global warming. The main effect centres around an increase in the global average temperature. It's been confirmed by at least 20 scientific societies and academies of science, as well as all the national academies of science of the G8 states, that the Earth's global average air temperature near its surface rose by 0.56-0.92 C (0.98-1.62 F) degrees during the last 100 years. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that this increase is very likely due to the "observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations, which leads to the warming of the surface and lower atmosphere by increasing the greenhouse effect."

For humans, these changes in climate are particularly dangerous to those who live near the ocean shore and who already suffer from drought, flooding, and poverty.

The IPCC concludes from models that global temperatures will likely rise by 1.1 to 6.4 C (2.0 to 11.5 F) degrees between 1990 and 2100, with the range of temperatures due to the use of differing scenarios of future greenhouse gas emissions and varying degrees of climate sensitivity.

Other effects of global warming include a rising sea level and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. In addition, there may be more frequent and intense weather events, such as more intense hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, thunderstorms, blizzards, etc., though it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming.

Global warming is also causing changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer stream flows, species extinctions, and increases in the ranges of disease vectors. The increased volumes of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases released by the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, agriculture, and other human activities are the major reasons why global warming has been occurring and increasing over the last 50 years.

Effects of global warming are expected to cause more changes as it becomes more pronounced; examples include the following projected climate changes (from Wikipedia):

- "A significant slowing of the ocean circulation that transports warm water to the North Atlantic; - Large reductions in the Greenland and West Antarctic Ice Sheets; - Accelerated global warming due to carbon cycle feedbacks in the terrestrial biosphere, and - Releases of terrestrial carbon from permafrost regions and methane from hydrates in coastal sediments."

It is uncertain whether for sure these events will occur or to what severity they will occur if they do, but most believe that the chances of at least one of the above events occurring are likely to increase the longer and more severe climate change becomes.

Some scientific members argue whether there will be positive effects from global warming, but most agree that any positive effects will be greatly outnumbered by the number of negative effects.

Projected climate changes due to global warming have the potential to greatly and irreversibly change our climate that will have lasting impacts on both the continental and global scales. One effect will be increased precipitation, due to the increasing temperature.

As Earth's temperature continues to rise, a very recent report from the IPCC shows that there will be an increasing impact to natural systems and people, especially those who live in Earth's poorer nations. In 2002, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon endured their worst wildfire season ever. Also in 2002, drought created severe dust storms that caused hundreds of millions of dollars of damage in Texas, Montana, and North Dakota. Since the early 1950s, snow accumulation has decreased by 60%, which has led to some areas of the Cascade Range in Oregon and Washington to have shorter winter seasons.

As you can see, effects of global warming are very negative on our planet already, from increased air temperatures to rises in the sea level to more severe storms. Currently, it is a challenge to predict how many effects global warming will have and how strong those effects will be, but most of the scientific community is predicting that global warming will have more negative effects on our planet and way of life the longer and more severe climate change becomes.

Understanding Emissions Trading and Global Warming

It goes without saying that there is often an inherent conflict between science and economies. Emission trading is an interesting effort in the global warming arena.

Understanding Emissions Trading and Global Warming

It is a mild understatement to say that global warming is both a controversial and misunderstood field. As the decay of the ice packs and slowing of the ocean conveyer become more apparent, the controversy is starting to evolve into an acceptance of global warming as a fact. Given this great acceptance, the question is now what to do about it.

Every society is based upon some form of economy. Although globalization is the much touted economic subject of the day, the industrial revolution is still really the heart of most economies. Economies, particularly first world economies, are based on the production of goods and materials through manufacturing. These same processes contribute heavily to greenhouse gases and the global warming debate. With such an inherent conflict between production and reduction of pollutants, find a solution to greenhouse gases has often been a dubious prospect. The concept of emissions trading, however, may be a solution.

Emission caps are a method for dealing with economies on a nationwide scale. Essentially, countries agree to cap their total output of pollutants and greenhouse gases at a certain level. Each government then converts this total amount into individual caps for industries or business. The caps essentially tell the businesses the amount they are allowed to emit and assign penalties and incentives for coming in below or above said amounts. In practical terms, a business is penalized for polluting or given a benefit for cutting pollutants.

The interesting thing about emissions caps is that they can be traded. Ostensibly, a country or business that falls under the cap amounts can trade their excess emissions allotment for money. In turn, other parties that fail to meet their caps must buy these allotments. By taking this approach, reduction of pollutants become not only a moral choice, but a potential profit center. For example, Brazil has done an amazing job of converting automobiles to ethanol. It has now evolved from an oil importer to an exporter and is selling emission credits on the open market.

Emission trading systems do not represent a new approach to dealing with the pollution problem. On smaller scales, such approaches have been used within the United States as part of the Clean Air Act to force municipalities and states to act. With the implementation of the Kyoto Treaty, this process will become full blown on the international scene. Alas, India, China and the United States are not signatories to the Treaty, which is unfortunate given their economic growth and production of greenhouse gases and pollutants.

Arguments Against Global Warming

Science is based on facts and evidence compiled by an overwhelming body of research and experiments. To argue against science, there fore, one would need just as powerful a fact baked by just as in depth research and experiments. However, arguments against global warming thus far have seen only unfounded opinions motivated by self indulged intentions.

In the United States, for the longest time right wing politicians tried to convince the people that global warming was nothing more than a liberal propaganda. In the face of mounting ridicule, many of them have changed their position since. However, the force undermining global warming is a dangerous one. As the International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC), the most authoritative body on the subject partly established by the Untied Nations, prepared to release their report in February this year, oil companies such as Exxon Mobil began to offer academics and intellectuals hard cash to publish articles to counter the IPCC findings. Philip Cooney, a long time lobbyist for the oil industry was hired as a key official in the Bush administration and was given a free pass to edit a report on climate change before the government released it to the public. The idea was to undermine the threat of global warming. After uproar from the scientific community, and after copies of Cooney’s original hand edited reports were leaked in the press, he lost his job.

It seems that the most common recurring factor about the argument against the evidence of global warming is that these arguments are concocted and disseminated by industries that depend on the production and sale of elements that cause global warming. It is also a recurring theme that many of these industrialists have established long and intimate relationships with politicians who help their cause and receive huge financial campaign contributions in returns. In the case of American politics, environment has traditionally been a liberal cause that the Democratic Party fights for. So instead of being treated as a bipartisan issue of much importance, the right-wing media has relentlessly worked to try and disprove the existence of global warming, a movement led by radio personalities such as Rush Limbaugh, who has also long battled prescription drug addiction.

But perhaps the leading public voice to undermine global warming has been that of Myron Ebell. While the media often hounds him for his ludicrous sound byte for the sake of presenting the opposing view, everyone admits he is the master of spin doctors when it comes to global warming. His D.C based think tank Competitive Enterprise Institute has received regular funding from oil industry giants to perform research and suggest policies that portray global warming as a hoax or worst yet, a good thing for everyone.

It doesn’t take long to realize that there is no serious argument against global warming, and most of the ones that do float around are designed by groups with vested interests. In fact, the general consensus amongst the world’s population, leaders and the scientific community that it is one of the greatest threats that mankind has ever faced has never been stronger.

Is Sin Causing 'Global Warming'?

Mankind in his 'cleverness' thinks his every day physical 'mismanagement', 'misuse' and 'abuse' of the earth's resources is or are the reason(s) that our global climate is changing. In particular the burning of fossil fuels. In turn mankind has made use of nuclear power, as an alternative, and many people believe that nuclear tests, leaks and accidents at power stations are and have been a major contributory factor in the increase of cancers and tumours in the human anatomy, and most likely there is much truth in this reasoning.

Fossil fuel by-products are now universally used as weed killers, fertilizers, pesticides, medicines, cosmetics, plastics, you name it and these by-products are in there somewhere. This has resulted in what many would say is a comprehensive poisoning of our environment, including the food we put on our tables. This alleged poisoning also includes meat products fattened and reared with the use of chemicals, antibiotics and hormones.

Here in the UK, organic food is now very much in demand and its popularity is increasing at an amazing rate. People are now saying what a Frankenstein monster the science lobby has become, a monster they have helped to create and encouraged to grow since the 1960's, but now have no control over. With GM foods, the latest addition to science's nursery, things can only get worse according to those who have turned and joined the Green/Eco lobby. In the UK GM foods are literally called Frankenstein Foods by the media.

From a Christian perspective the issues are these: If mankind 'cleaned' up his act in terms of material physical pollution and general abuse of his environment would it bring an end to climate change? I don't think so. Are all these physical and material activities of mankind the cause of the problem, or just the symptoms or outward behavioural signs of another problem; the symptoms of a deeper and more serious malaise in the hearts of men and women? The real question here is this: Is the 'Global Warming' - 'Climate Change' problem, call it what you will, a Spiritual problem rather than just a physical material problem?

As a Christian and believer in an all mighty powerful God, I know that planet earth, our solar system and all the stars in the heavens are held together in perfect harmony by the Power of God - The Holy Spirit. God's Power, His Holy Spirit, controls everything and I also know that sin grieves The Holy Spirit. Furthermore, there is a limit to which God will allow His Spirit to be grieved before He takes action. Now, as if this were not important enough, there is also the permanent damage element of what rampant sin does to mankind. A level of damage caused by sin from which there is no return. How do I know this? Easy, let's go to Genesis and we will quickly find out how I know.

Genesis 6:5-6 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented (filled the Lord with sorrow) the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved (cut or carved) Him at his heart. (Brackets mine) Here we can plainly see how man's evil activities i.e. sin, affected God, grieving His Spirit and cutting Him to His heart. This meant man gave God no pleasure at all, just as a human father would gain no pleasure from watching his son go wrong and end up in prison and/or on death row!

Notice, the thoughts of the heart of these people were causing them to do only evil continually - non stop evil and nothing else - 24/7 and Genesis gives us more detail:

Genesis 6:11-12 The earth (the creation or in secular terminology - the environment) also was corrupt (in a state of ruinous decay) before God, and the earth was filled with violence (for unjust gain). 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt;for all flesh had corrupted his way (walking a decaying ruinous vile path) upon the earth. (Brackets mine)

Here in Genesis The Lord gives us some stark parallels to our world today, with man's sinful ways being the direct cause of ruin to himself and God's creation. His sins were directly affecting his environment through grieving his Creator and the only answer The Lord had left was to rid the earth of these people, not just for punishment but for their own good. They were so far gone that they were near to the point of no return and they had more or less created undiluted Satanism on earth. The Lord had no alternative but to destroy them all.

The Lord then sends the flood and redeems Noah and his family, but the point many people miss in this story is the cataclysmic climate change that comes with the flood - don't forget, a flood caused by sin. What people have missed are the differences between the two worlds. The differences in what the pre-flood world must have been like compared to the post-flood world. Holy Scripture leaves much unanswered on this subject but what evidence it does leave is revealing if we apply that evidence correctly.

One of the first things that hit us about the pre-flood world is the great ages or life spans of the people mentioned in Scripture - some are over nine hundred years old. Now many 'clever' people have dreamt up all manner of hypotheses to explain these life spans away, including myself before I was called, but never any explanations to support them as being fact. Of course, we all know why they do this, to discredit the Holy Bible as much as they can. So let's go now to the Scriptures and see for ourselves what they do reveal about this world shattering event. Please note the flood was a global event, not localised as some would have you believe.

Genesis 9:14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

Here we have evidence that the pre-flood world never had rain. It never had rain because the rainbow was now a sign in the clouds to remind mankind of God's covenant with Noah. The rainbow was a new phenomenon and Noah and his family would never have seen it before.

Genesis 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Here we can see a mist or fog came up from the earth that watered the ground, but not rain. The rain, that part caused the flood, was the first rain to fall upon the earth, so the next question is where did all this water come from? The Bible tells us:

Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament (a sky) in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.7 And God made the firmament (the sky), and divided the waters which were under the firmament (the sky) from the waters which were above the firmament (the sky): and it was so.

Here, Holy Scripture tells us that there was water above the sky and water below the sky. Now this water barrier was a solid permanent feature above the sky that completely covered the earth and it was most likely in the upper atmosphere. We are not talking about clouds here which come and go at will and are often at ground level, this was something completely different from what we know about our atmosphere today. Noah saw clouds for the first time after the flood. The sky in pre-flood times divided the waters so they were completely separate!

OK, back to the 'puzzle' of the great ages and life spans of pre-flood people. If, as I have said, these great ages are true how did they achieve them? Again this is simple and it's all tied up in that water barrier in the upper atmosphere. It filtered out all the harmful rays of the sun which any scientist will tell you are what age us - UV and any others that may be harmful. These people lived in a near perfect environment when compared to ours. My guess is that there was no weather and no seasons. Weather and seasons only started after the flood. Are you saying the earth moved on its axis - very likely? Sheer speculation on my part but then I do not underestimate nor do I limit God in what He can do to achieve His will.

We know from the fact that the rainbow was seen for the first time by Noah and his family and that rain was a new phenomenon, so the disintegration of the water barrier was the cause of the flood, but only in part. The fact that the pre-flood world had no rain must mean they obtained water from elsewhere and of course they did - vast underground aquifer springs which in turn when they broke out, contributed to the flood. The waters that caused the flood came from two sources - above and below.

Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Here we have evidence of the underground aquifers, here called fountains of the great deep. These aquifers were deep underground and they broke out with great force. This breaking out would have been a cataclysmic event with massive geological upheavals to the earth's crust. Geologists today puzzle and scratch their heads over these faults and anomalies as they study rocks and rock formations, never realizing they are looking at the evidence of damage caused by the great flood.

So to return to my original question: Is sin causing Global Warming or Climate Change? I would say it most definitely is. The acts man needs to clean up are not so much his polluting acts, as God can deal with them with the click of His fingers, but rather his sinful acts. The question is: Will he? Answer: Not in this age as he is incapable of doing so, but he will in the next!!

The Moral Case Against Global Warming Policies

How odd that someone would make a moral case against global warming. The trend is to promote it as a just cause. Global warming is presented as a problem that we should be doing all we can to fix or life as we know it will be no more. The so called "science" that supporters of global warming use to justify their position is anything but settled. New evidence is constantly being discovered that puts bigger and bigger holes in global warming theories--not laws, theories. The most ridiculous of these theories being that global warming--if it is indeed happening--is caused by human beings.

The objective here is not to go over the science that casts an overwhelming shadow of doubt on the accuracy of global warming theories but, it would be a waste not to share it. Not enough people are aware of this information as it is.

It is probably safe to say that there is no life on the other planets in our solar system. Most places are either too hot, too cold, or lacking an atmosphere like ours. Chances are, no aliens are driving carbon producing SUVs on our neighboring planets. It just so happens that Pluto is experiencing warming. There was a storm on Jupiter that scientists believe is due to climate change. Our closest neighbor, Mars, has been experiencing rising temperatures and as a result: melting. Either our horrible carbon footprints are so gigantic that it is affecting the entire solar system or it's the sun.

Al Gore's claim to Hollywood trophies and a Nobel Peace Prize is entirely due to An Inconvenient Truth--conveniently, it has few truths. Gore's biggest case to link human activity to global warming is the theory that carbon dioxide levels are directly responsible for increases in temperature. His graphs and animations certainly looked sharp and gave an aura of authority. However, CO2 and rising temperatures are not related in the fashion Gore suggests. He would have you think that temperatures rise as a result of increased CO2 levels. Statistically, the warmer periods in Earth's history came about 800 years before an increase in CO2; that means CO2 levels increased after temperatures increased. In other words, adjusting our "carbon emissions" may not affect global temperatures.

It would also be wise to look back at grade school science. We know that plant life thrive in high CO2 environments. The more green on earth the better. Increased plant life will lead to an increase in wildlife and the problem of starving nations could be more easily solved; the more places for agriculture, the more food we can produce.

That is some of the science and it has been known for years. Global warming fanatics have disregarded it and the public has blindly accepted their false science. Why? Because we are morally good. We want to do what is right and presenting global warming as a result of human activity puts the moral responsibility in our hands. Inconveniently for the global warming fear mongers, the war against global warming is largely immoral and chances are, human activity is not the cause of global warming.

Amongst the most immoral propositions in the war against global warming is the limit of carbon emissions from developing nations. People there do not have access to electricity, clean running water, or any of the luxuries we take for granted. Who are we in the developed world to tell these nations that they must adhere to "green" practices when we have built our lives on a carbon emitting system? It is immoral to forcibly keep people in poverty because of scientific theories. We have no right as a person or as a nation to tell any other person or nation how to live or run their own country.

The great ethanol lie is another derivative of global warming. One third of our corn crop in the United States this year will be consumed by ethanol production. Sounds like a lot except it will account for 3 percent of our total fuel usage while driving up the price of other grains and food. This reduces the amount of food we send over to those who are starving. And if you didn't already know, it takes more fuel to produce and transport ethanol than ethanol can provide. A gigantic losing strategy that only makes it harder for Americans to buy food and reduces the supply of food to the starving and needy.

This war on global warming is largely a means to steal more money from ordinary folk. The government regulations and subsidies that have sprouted from this war such as carbon taxes and subsidized initiatives like corn-based ethanol are going to make us all poorer. The carbon tax is touted as a great idea so that the evil car drivers can pay for their crimes against the planet. The income tax was also sold to us as a means to tax those evil rich people and the last I checked, the IRS robs all of us every two weeks. These taxes are merely a means for one group to steal money from another group for their own agenda. A carbon tax is not backed by scientific fact and is going to be most destructive to regular people who rely on their car to make a living.

Absolutely no legislation or government regulation as a result of global warming is going to solve the "problem" or make any of us better off. Supporting government global warming initiatives is equivalent to starving and robbing other people. The war on drugs, the war on poverty, the war on anything is another way to ensure the problem will never be solved. The war on drugs has not reduced drug use but has instead put enormous amounts of people in jail for non-aggressive crimes and has created a black market where the truly bad are benefiting.

If all those who preach the gospel of global warming are really humanitarians, they would stop using government to do their bidding. The fact of the matter is that more people are going to be worse off and perhaps die due to our policies regarding an unproven scientific theory. Those who believe global warming is a crisis can act without using government force. Automakers have responded with hybrid vehicles, better gas mileage, and even all electric vehicles. No party is worse off because of these improvements and actions. That is the moral way to deal with global warming.

Halt Global Warming and Make Huge Energy Savings

The way that gas prices are on the rise at the moment should really be the least of our fears, because the gravest concern that has come to threaten our planet this century is how the environment is under attack. It doesn't matter what your background is or even if you are rich or not, we will all have to suffer together regardless. Recent studies have revealed that literally millions of people over the next 40 years shall die due to environment changes from rising cases of skin cancer, lung cancer, and other respiratory diseases.

Our own personal carbon footprint contribution needs to be our main priority in life from now on and not only for the negative aspects but also positive ones, as there is so much that we too can do to help the environment. A great example to get you started would be to just plant a tree as this would help to offset about 720 kg of carbon during it's lifespan, where as taking a plane from New York to Washington would put almost 800 kg of carbon back into the environment.

The average American creates about 22 tons of CO2 each year, which is quite an achievement if you compare it to the rest of the world, who still produce about 6 tons per person, which is still way too much. I am not saying that you have to go around on a push bike, but there really are things you can do to reduce your own personal carbon footprint: -

Tip #1: Buy local. "Carbon cost" is added to virtually everything within the consumer society. You have to take into account transportation, distance and the amount of energy that is consumed in the final delivery of a product to it's point of sale. Recent U.S. Department of Agriculture studies show that the majority of fruit and vegetables have to be transported an average of 1500 miles from the farm up to the kitchen table. This is a complete and utter waste of resources, so do your bit and buy local farm produce.

Tip #2: Dress appropriately. Well I mean why don't we just dress according to more acceptable temperatures. Reduce the thermostat if it's cold and put on a sweater and when it's hot put the thermostat up a bit and take off your shirt. These small hardships will help reduce 2,000 pounds of co2 every year as well as high savings on energy costs. This is all in aid of helping our planet remember, so please make an effort.

Tip #3: New for old: I don't know whether you have seen those new energy-efficient CFL light bulbs that you can buy nowadays. Well they do cost a bit more than normal light bulbs and changing only 3 would result in energy savings per American home of $60 per year and as a planet this would result in a trillion pounds of CO2 not being emitted into the atmosphere. You should also try and upgrade appliances and computers to Energy Star rated machines, and remember to turn off the lights as you leave a room.

Tip #4: Keep it clean. A 500% increase in global warming can be the result of owning a poorly maintained car as well as it costing more to run. Have your car regularly serviced and checked to improve efficiency and if you do go out shopping, go to the nearest available store.

Tip #5: Improve gas mileage. Definitely consider driving a hybrid car or installing an alternative energy booster. I would definitely recommend a water fuel car converter being installed into your existing car. This is a fine way to reduce your carbon footprint by half and you will see a 40% reduction in gas mileage.

If we start now, it will be a much better world for all of our children and grandchildren. Everybody on this planet is equally responsible to stop this destruction and if nothing is done, it will all just end in tears.

Global Warming Information Drive - Is It Really Working?

"One is enough, two is too much and three is a poison to kill a person." This is maxim suppose to applied in a situation where an individual should no longer do it again because of the burden that had caused him/her.

Today, this maxim is also applicable to what is happening around the globe most especially on the Global Climate Change scenario. The earth, even before is already experiencing climate change. It so happen that in the beginning the effects of the change to the human race were tolerable and so there was no concrete evidence for everybody to be alarmed.

We can compare the situation in the case when we encountered bad feeling due to stress maybe, that we only need to take a rest and it's gone. The tolerance of the body and mind reacted as if there's no need to worry about. Until we experience this unfamiliar feelings in a regular basis that it seems the body could no longer tolerate the pain, we go to the doctor for further clarifications.

This is the same with global warming or climate changes, whatever they called it. The effects of this climate change to the humanity is now being felt especially in places were people have narrow tolerance on heat.

Tropical countries on the other hand, only started to feel this climate change. Due to too much heat, some of the primary crops could no longer stand along the heat of the sun and thus affects the crop production. Thought there are other factors to be considered on this matter, the root cause fall more on the human negligence.

At present, complicated problems arise where the human race is rushing to remedy counter measures to avoid the chaos. How could we avoid now this rapidly approaching disaster?

When this problem started to manifest, people in the community including the virtual community commenced to inform everyone about it. Thought information drives to minimize the problem were started to disseminate even before, and today it become already talk of the town, climate change seems to continue in a faster phase. It seems that these information drives did not even stir the concerned citizens of the world.

Furthermore, because of this global phenomenon the human race could no longer reverse the scenario. Until the human race could not settle their personal problems, until countries continue to produce destructive weapons, until individuals could not understands each other' views, until there people who are not creating a friendly environment, there's no way the earth could be save.

Global Warming Books - Some Support And Some Deny

Global warming is discussed in two main types of books. Some authors downplay the issue and insist there is no problem. Others speak of the compelling evidence, dangerous consequences, and solutions. Reading books with more than one viewpoint on the subject gives a balanced perspective.

Probably the most well-known book on global warming is Al Gore's book AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH: THE PLANETARY EMERGENCY OF GLOBAL WARMING AND WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. Gore's book shows reasons why people need to save the earth from the hazards of climatic change. It also implores world leaders to stand up and take heed of the warnings of an environment in crisis.

An opposing viewpoint is presented in a book titled UNSTOPPABLE GLOBAL WARMING: EVERY 1500 YEARS. The book, written by Dennis T. Avery and S. Fred Singer, is an argument that it is a cyclical event that has happened gradually and systematically throughout history. Scientific data backs up their claims and demonstrates why no one, in the authors' opinions, should be concerned about global warming.

However, compelling scientific facts do exist that support the claims of the dangers caused by climatic changes. A book called GLOBAL WARMING: THE COMPLETE BRIEFING tells facts and theories about the foundations of a hotter climate. In it, the future of the world and ways to help minimize the problem are outlined.

Children can learn about the subject by reading a book called THIS IS MY PLANET: THE KIDS' GUIDE TO GLOBAL WARMING. Jan Thornhill, the author or the book, gives startling facts about the quickly occurring changes in our environment and tells how it is happening. Catering to the younger audience, though, she is careful to sprinkle the book with a lot of hope and ways for children to help improve the situation.

THE DOWN TO EARTH GUIDE TO GLOBAL WARMING, by Laurie David and Cambria Gordon, is a book that uses humor to discuss a serious subject. It not only has facts about the genesis of extreme warming, but it is full of vivid pictures. It is another book aimed at elementary-age children, and it tells ways for kids to fight the problem in every area of their lives.

A fun and interesting book is THE LIVE EARTH GLOBAL WARMING SURVIVAL HANDBOOK: 77 ESSENTIAL SKILLS TO STOP CLIMATE CHANGE. David de Rothschild, the author, constructed the book to be a tongue-in-cheek survival guide for a hotter planet. At the same time, it offers important information about ways to improve the environment. It is a companion book to the Live Earth Concerts that took place around the world during a 24-hour period in July of 2007.

It is easy to find books about what is perhaps the most important environmental issue of the current century. Many are aimed at the children who are next to inherit the earth. Some focus heavily on scientific data. Others rely on humor to spread their message. Some are even a simple call to arms to anyone willing to help curb global warming. It is a subject worth studying, and there are plenty of books available to the earnest pupil.

We Can All Help Alleviate Global Warming!

If you thought that global warming had reached a stage beyond repair, you are probably right. However, that doesn't mean you cannot do your own bit to save the environment! Here are some simple, practical ways to get more eco-friendly:

Avoid plastics: Plastics cannot be easily degraded and this affects the environment adversely. Hence when shopping at your nearest departmental store try and use paper bags or cloth ones. You could even make your own cloth bag to take to the store!

Reuse and recycle: Have some old clothes you don't wear any longer? Maybe you're thinking of dumping them in the dustbin. Stop being so wasteful! Get frugal and try recycling them into some cool clothing. For example an old frumpy t-shirt can be made into an off-shoulder top or old jeans can be cut into cute shorts!

Turn off the lights: When you leave a room, make sure to turn off the lights. Even a few minutes left unattended can consume huge amounts of electricity when considered on a long term perspective. So when not using a room, turn off the light, fan, air condition etc. - basically any electrical appliances.

Natural household cleaners: Instead of using chemical laden compounds to clean your home try using more nature friendly alternatives. For example white vinegar is a powerful cleaner especially for glass surfaces. Even lemon juice works as an excellent stain remover.

Plant more trees: We all know this is a given but not many of us actually follow it. Even if each of us were to plant one or two trees in our lifetime it would make a huge difference to the environment. Plus trees provide shade and relief from the hot summer months!

Don't use pesticides: When gardening, it is best to avoid using chemical pesticides on your plants. Instead try using natural compost. You can create your own compost at home by combining left over scraps of food, vegetables, eggs etc. It will smell awful so you need to keep your compost bin out of your home. Then after a month or so it will be ready for your plants. Natural compost is the best fertilizer for your plants. Plus it is organic!

Make borrowing a habit: If there are certain items and products which you tend to use less often you should borrow them. You will not only save a huge amount of money in the process you are also saving on the amount of wastage.

Eco-friendly fuels: Instead of using conventional fuel sources try natural and healthier alternatives such as solar energy, wood pellets or even wind energy.

Use rollers for painting: If you are planning to paint your home make sure to use a paint brush or a paint roller instead of spray paints. Spray paints emit harmful toxins into the atmosphere.

Walk it: If the distance between your home and office is walk-able then it is best to walk instead of using a bike. You could even try cycling. Its a great exercise and you are cutting down on harmful fuel emissions.

Global Warming Charts

Global warming charts are tools that show graphs or illustrations representing the cause and rise in temperature of the environment due to global warming. You can look at it to fully understand what is happening in the world. Since global warming is a much popular phrase nowadays, connoting to the environmental threats and the frightening climate changes, using these charts will surely help people to have a bigger view of the extent of global warming. These charts aim to clearly impart the disastrous effects and the direct results of global warming. Aside from that, it will help people to see the areas in their daily lifestyle that must be changed. This is imperative as people seldom think about how their lives affect the environment.

The different global warming charts show the varying ways on how people look at the world. They are also interpreted in various ways. You can find here thermal imaging charts, pie graphs, and even diverse statistics. All the information relayed by these charts is presented in a more understandable manner so that anyone looking at them will easily grasp. You can view the different charts about global warming in different sites. Whatever you choose, one thing is for sure; you will get accurate information with regards to global warming and its effects.

More than just giving a comprehensive data about the extent of global warming and how people contribute to it, global warming charts also feed statistics. Among the vital entries stated in these include: the man-made and natural factors, climatic data, sources of greenhouse gases found in homes, global temperatures and other important details. Using these facts, you can see and analyze the best way out of this global warming problem. However, even these charts prove to be useful in informing people about the severity of global warming, all can be put into waste if one will not act on the problem. So, the best thing to do is know the things that should be done to stop global warming.

By paying attention to the information stated in all global warming charts, it is hard to deny the accumulated data that shows the impact of human technology to the environment. Warming of the climate is undeniable since it is now evident from the observations and obviously in the charts. Increase in global average air and ocean temperatures, fast melting of snow and ice and the rising sea levels. Though it sure will be difficult to totally stop global warming-causing human activities, mankind should start acting now. The final solution is to create a non-polluting and non-combustible source of power that will not affect the environment.

Effective Ways to Combat Global Warming

The topic of global warming is ever present in most people's lives today, having been a topic of great amounts of commentary on radio shows, television programs, and the internet community. There's been an expansion of press surrounding the issue of late. Being concerned about the issue is something that many of us are, thanks in part to the continuing debate and disagreements over the issue. After all, so much is at stake for the future members of our society in regards to global warming.

Sadly, many want to join the fight against global warming but do not realize how easy and cheap it can be. In recent years, too much of the main focus of the efforts has been on energy efficient appliance and vehicles. Every little bit helps, and if you do not have the budget for the big items, there are less expensive ways to become proactive.

Your home is the key to helping you combat global warming. Are there electrical appliances, like your computer, turned on when you aren't using them? This is a great way to prevent future problems and save money at the same time.

For the easiest way to reduce your electrical input, simply turn off all the lights and other appliances in the home when you are not immediately using them. The best part about this approach is that it is a free example of how you can help, and in addition to being free, it might save you money. Also try turning down the thermostat and warm yourself by wearing a little more clothing on chilly days. Just a few degrees can make all the difference.

Another simple step is to exchange the traditional light bulbs in your home for energy efficient ones. Another benefit that many users of these energy efficient light bulbs discover is an increased amount of savings on their electric bills. These bulbs can last up to two years, which is longer than the traditional ones. If you are careful where you shop, you can find multi-packs of energy efficient bulbs for five dollars or less.

Preventing global warming is just not a task reserved for home-owners, as a renter there are things you can do as well. As a renter if you feel cold air entering your home in an area where it shouldn't be then simply contacting the landlord or property manager to make the necessary window repairs is doing your small part. Other things to discuss with your landlord include the hot water heater and the addition of an insulating blanket because these are environmentally friendly and may save your landlord money.

Buying an energy efficient automobile or new hybrid is not necessary in order to change your modes of transportation for the better. Many people love the convenience of driving, but everyone should ask themselves if any of their journeys are actually necessary. Walking, carpool, or public transportation are all other means that are more environmentally friendly. Leave the car at home at least three times a week, and you can do your part in fighting global warming.

Time-Tested Solutions For Global Warming

Increased global temperature, a rise in the sea levels, extreme conditions of the weather. These are all attributed to a single factor - global warming. Global warming or greenhouse effect has been going on for centuries. For thousands of years, the earth's temperature continues to rise and it's not stopping. Although the catastrophic events are commonly linked with this global problem, scientists worldwide still have uncertainties as to the relation of global warming to these events AND if there's even a definite solution to global warming.

There are two possible solution to the effects of global warming as proposed by experts. It could be in the form of mitigation or through adaptation. Under the mitigation response, several actions are done to alleviate the effects of global warming, if not to totally eradicate it. The steps that could be undertaken in this response are to reduce the consumption of energy and to use appliances that are energy efficient; you could also look for other possible energy sources or alternatives that can be used to replace the present source of fuel. Possible ‘other' sources of energy are solar energy (with this, pollution is decreased, thus, global warming could be controlled), wind energy, hydropower, and geothermal power, to name a few. These energy sources are reusable and highly available, not to add that they are clean sources of fuel.

Another solution for global warming is the use of other sources of energy. Other possible sources of energy that can be used are nuclear energy and biofuels. These two can be used to replace fossil fuels that take a much longer time to develop. Nuclear energy, though, is still under much consideration because of its negative effects to people and to the environment. There is no contestation as to the power that nuclear energy would be able to produce that would give electrical power. But as to the safety of this source of power, there is still much debate. Biofuel, on the other hand, is safe, economical and it is easy to produce. Methane is the main biofuel that can be produced from plant and animal wastes, and this proves to be a lot more environment-friendly than burning fossil fuels.

Another step that ingenious minds have created is capturing carbon (in the form of carbon dioxide) and properly storing them for future use. We have a high concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere, so to help in improving the climate, it should be controlled. And when needed, CO2 can also be used together with methane to make biogas. Aside from carbon capture, people have also set up the so-called Geoengineering where the main goal of this form of science is to study the effects and solutions in atmospheric problems.

In the adaptation response, people look for ways on reducing the effects of the problem and addressing the issues on these problems one-step at a time. In mitigation, people are bent on stopping or postponing the effects of global warming. In search for a better term, adaptation is like ‘playing it cool' for now then slowly doing some actions to lessen global warming effects. So in adaptation, they have the thought that glaciers are melting anyway even if we stop our consumption of fossil fuels now so why not go on with modern progress? All they have to concentrate on is how to ‘cope' with the effects. Both mitigation and adaptation would mean people who would join hands in fighting a common enemy.

Another way to defend ourselves from the ravages of global warming is for concerned lawmakers to create legislations that would ensure the responsible use of what's left of our fossil fuel resources. With this comes the equal responsibility of not using products or taking part in activities that would further ruin our planet's balance.

And, at the end of it all, the best person that could make a difference and help in making the solution for global warming possible would be you. You could start with yourself, and within your home, all the practices that would provide solutions to the worsening condition of planet earth, which is greenhouse effect.

Global warming solutions are not yet thoroughly proven, let alone totally administered. It is an ever-present problem. No matter what we do, it is there and there is no escaping it. And although it will take years, lots of it, before global warming will even begin to become a terrifying threat, still, it wouldn't hurt if we lift a finger now.

Industrial Ecology and Global Warming

To begin with, let us understand what Ecology means. The scientific study of environment and its organisms with respect to their abundance, habitat, interaction, climate and distribution belongs to a branch of biology known as ecology. Ecology is now used in a more general sense, coined to mean environment-friendly. When we talk of Industrial ecology, we hint at the effects of industrialization on the environment.

The physical, chemical and biological interactions and relations between the industrial processes and ecosystems are studied in detail and this study is termed as Industrial Ecology. Basically, the study revolves around the flow of materials from industrial processes into the nature. The objective of Industrial ecology is to reduce the negative impact of industrial process on nature, thereby clearing off the threat posed to the environment, mainly in the form of Global Warming.

Of the various strategies being adopted to bring this objective into effect, the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method is one of them. The life cycle analysis of a product is done right from its inception to its disposal to assess the extent of damage caused by the product on the environment. The LCA method analyses the Inventory, Impact and Improvement processes.

Detailed studies of the industry as well as the natures' systems aid in working out a plan to reduce the impacts of industrial processes, also bringing about a reduction in costs. The resources and their amounts are analyzed so to as to assess the waste discarded in the environment. This enables to understand the impacts of industrial methods on the environment. The levels of the impacts are measured and methods are designed for improvement.

Once the nature of ecological systems is analyzed and understood, the industries then need to work out a strategy to minimize the impact on the environment. The industrial ecology pattern carries out a detailed study of the relationships existing within nature and then decides on methods for improvement by adapting to the same system. One simple method is to use the waste products of one industry as the raw materials for the other. Reduction in wastage leads to lesser pollution levels. Use of solar energy for running industrial plants also reduces harmful emissions in the air and contributes to lesser pollution.

Industrial ecology believes that the industrial system, which refers to not only industries, but also includes the way humans use natural resources, is a part of the biosphere and does not exist outside it. In order to reduce the impact on the environment, industrial processes should conserve raw materials and energy used for production purposes. The use of toxic substances should be avoided and certain safety measures should be introduced to minimize the harmful effects. The study of industrial ecology is driving the industrial processes in a cycle wherein the waste products gathered from production is used as a raw material for new processes.

Effective implementation of the various methods of Industrial ecology as mentioned above will definitely help in combating the threat of global warming. Each one of can contribute to a safer world and save our planet by being a part of the revolution against global warming. Spread awareness of these methods and prevent the earth from warming up.

Alarming Global Warming Statistics

According to NASA, the hottest year on record was 2005, which matched 1998. Twice in the last ten years, we've had the hottest temperatures on average ever recorded in our planet's history. That is very likely more than just a coincidence.

In fact, the past nine years have all been among the 25 warmest years on record, a streak which is unprecedented in the historical record. For that to happen, it's likely there has to be an underlying factor, and that factor seems to be global warming.

U.S. and global annual temperatures are now around 1.0 F degrees warmer than they were in 1900. The rate of warming has accelerated over the past 30 years, increasing at a rate of three times faster than the century-scale trend. It's likely the increase in CO2 emissions has something to do with that rate increase.

According to an MIT study, there's been a 100% increase in the intensity and duration of hurricanes and tropical storms since the 1970s, most likely due to the increased amount of CO2 emissions to our atmosphere, which has increased the Earth's surface temperature, and warmer weather is believed to increase the intensity of tropical storms and hurricanes.

In fact, the levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide has increased by 31% between 1800 and 2000, going from 280 parts per million to 367 parts per million. Scientists predict that carbon dioxide levels could be as high as 970 parts per million by the year 2100.

According to the National Climactic Data Centre estimates, $100 billion of damage was caused by hurricanes hitting the U.S. coast in 2005 alone. The increase in severity of the hurricanes and tropical storms is most likely due to the increase of CO2 emissions, which heats up the Earth's near-surface temperatures. In fact, the average surface temperature has increased by about 0.6 C (1.0 F) over the last 100 years. This is likely why snow cover and ice extent have decreased over the past few decades.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey predictions, Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left by the year 2030, further showing the rapidity of global warming and the impact it can have on our planet in the very near future.

According to the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment, 400,000 square miles of Arctic sea ice have melted, which is threatening polar bear habitats and further accelerating global warming worldwide. That amount of Arctic sea ice is approximately the size of the state of Texas, and we've lost that in just the last 30 years, further emphasizing that we need to take action now before the damage becomes too severe for our efforts to really matter.

The sea level has risen by 4?-8? (10-20 cm) over the past 100 years, which is likely due to the melting of the polar glaciers, which is likely due to the increase in the Earth's near-surface temperature, and that's being increased by the increase in CO2 emissions into Earth's atmosphere. This can lead to devastating effects for coastal communities because the sea level is rising, which means that when the sea comes in-tide, more erosion can occur, and if coastal communities are present, more damage done to them. In addition, losing the glaciers reduces the amount of usable fresh water on our planet.

It is also projected that 15-37% of all plant and animal species could be wiped out by global warming by the year 2050, which could further cause considerable damage to our planet's ecosystem.

The United States is ranked nr.1 among large nations of being a global warming polluter, contributing 25% of emissions, even though the U.S. only makes up 5% of the world's population. This provides more evidence that the U.S. Government must do more to combat global warming. In fact, six former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) leaders say that the U.S. is not doing enough to fight global warming. The fact that there have been NO bills passed by the U.S. Congress to cut global warming pollution further confirms what many EPA leaders are saying.

As you can see, there is statistical evidence that proves that global warming is causing changes to our planet, and changes that will do more harm than good. Governments and individuals need to pay close attention to these statistics in order to figure out ways to reverse the disturbing trends that are now occurring. The sooner we take heed of these statistics and implement changes that address global warming, the quicker we can reverse the disturbing trends and the less damage will occur to our planet and way of life.

Solutions of Global Warming

The effects of global warming could be seen all around the world because on deserts, water scarcity is becoming more severe, and on tropical countries summer season are being lengthened. These things occur because the atmosphere's absorption capacity is enhanced by both natural and man-made global warming causes. Earth quakes, eruption and green house effects diminish the world balance and human activities continually add to pollution and environmental contamination. Now that we are already experiencing these unlikely effects, we should look out for the proper solutions of global warming.

The first remedy presented for global warming is the use of renewable energies such as solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy and bio-gas. The substitution of these elements to the use of oil and other fuels would greatly decrease pollution thereby lessening global warming and its effect. The use of renewable energy could lessen the accumulation of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and other by-products produced during fuel burning process or combustion. The second solution of global warming lies on human being because their actions are great contributor to pollution. Humans should develop self discipline, should learn energy conservation for these could also reduce global warming.

These solutions of global warming cannot be done by one time effort because these should be carried out on a long time process. People should be used to these changes and adopt it on their daily lives because if we will just do it for several days, there will be reduction only, not solution or eradication. Today we should start the campaign to make these known to everybody so that each of us could take part on this worldwide problem. We should start these campaigns ourselves, then to our family and lastly let's extend it to our society and to the whole world. All of us should fully understand what global warming is all about, what are its signs, what are its possible solutions and what should we do now - the full understanding of the problem is also the remedy itself.

Our present world could still take back what it has lost if we will all act to preserve, protect and maintain our environment. The plants could blossom once again and animals and human beings could procreate pro-create. Starting today let's not loss in our mind the solutions of global warming so that we will always be responsible on everything that we do. We will carry the guilt always to prevent ourselves from anything that could contribute and worsen our current situation today. Once we have inculcated these in ourselves and start to implement it, no doubt our world will be a better place for their will be no threats of drought, famine and of course the issue today, global warming.

Human Causing Global Warming

It is a known fact that humans have a big part in the extreme biodiversity loss and climate change being vastly experienced today. People must be more vigilant and understand that the measure of threat is not a matter of whether it is done for purpose or unintentionally, but how much danger and loss it may cause. It is an ancient habit of humans to put the blame to those that are perceived to be evil since these are sure to do harm. It is harder for humans to go after or in a simplistic term, to effectively educate and socialize to a vast number of fellow humans, who are not evil, but the behavior may in fact be much more destructive in the long run. So, to eliminate that wrong perception, mankind should focus on Human Causing Global Warming awareness.

According to newspapers in 2002, the United States government has admitted for the very first time that man-made pollution is primarily to be blamed for global warming. The booming of industries like motor, oil, and electricity and all other human activities, partake in the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Studies and researches further proved the strong link between global warming and the by-products of manufacturing. This is what causes global mean surface air temperatures and ocean temperatures to rise abnormally and in a very fast pace. The changes observed for over the last decades are pointed to Human Causing Global Warming major activities.

One of the major contributors of global warming is the carbon gases emission from automobiles. In U.S. alone, 33% of this gas comes from the burning of fuel in the internal combustion engine of vehicles. Just imagine the billions of cars running down the street and the gas emission they are producing every second. Another Human Causing Global Warming culprit is the carbon dioxide emitted by power plants. This stems from the burning of fossil fuel to generate electricity. Other carbon emissions caused by humans are rooted from airplanes, buildings, and agricultural fields.
Deforestation is the second major causes of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Burning and cutting of trees gradually kills acres of rainforests and tropical forests. This results to the throwing of millions of tons of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere each year. Apart from that, temperate forests are also fast diminishing. Looking all these threats, it is no wonder that Human Causing Global Warming is the one liable. Though it is already a fact, for now, what is important is to take action.

If not stopping the effects of global warming, mandating rehabilitation programs to aggressively provide solutions should be done. Today, among the first steps in aggressively fighting global warming is cutting energy use, mobilization of renewable resources, heat plants for cities, and strategies in agriculture. Public awareness programs are now being acted by the government and environmental groups. However, these are not enough to fully fight against global warming. Cooperation among all the citizens is needed for the utmost success of these programs.

Are the Effects of Global Warming Real?

The United States government is seriously taking responsibility to resolve the severe effects of global warming. There have been multiple occurrences of severe heat which is hotter than summer that constantly remain unexplainable to this day. "Are the effects of global warming real?" that's what most people nowadays ask and the answer to the question is an unfortunate yes as its affects all forms of life whether human, animal or plant. It can bring suspicion or possible occurrences of drought, illness, health disorder and even death at worst.

As has been said above, global warming affects all forms of life from human beings to animals and plants. On humans, global warming or severe heat can cause illnesses and increase the chances of these diseases to spread to larger areas. Animals may also suffer from illnesses that may lead to death like dehydration and loss of the body moisture necessary for survival. Even sea creatures could also be affected by global warming as the water temperature would rise thus controlling the growth of marine life and their ecosystem.
Now is the time to believe, with all these information you will stop asking "are the effects of global warming real?" because it already is proven and supported with facts.

The thing that you should be doing today is providing good information dissemination about global warming and constant encouragement to your fellowmen to make them work with you and reach the goal of minimizing global warming. Now is the perfect time to control global warming issue because our condition is heading to higher stage or becoming severe. Temperature is totally going too high to the extent that sometimes people, animals and plants cannot bear it anymore. Get over on just thinking about "are the effects of global warming real?" rather find a way for its solution and its implementation so as to take part in giving cure to the world's current disease known as global warming. We should all act regarding this issue because our world is deteriorating and getting weak defense against global warming.

Now that it is known that the effects of global warming are real and not just myths and make believes, it falls on our shoulders to try and make our world better as we alone have the power to do so. It is true, there is no way we can totally control changes of this magnitude but what we have to understand is that it is not about total control or eradication. But it is about effecting changes that could help in making our environment better for us and for our family to live on.
